■ Who can take the CTMC/CTMD?
You don’t have to be a counsellor or a therapist to do this course, however if you are interested in, or engaged in forms of therapeutic work, this course may well give you the accreditated status you are looking for.
Teachers, youth workers, foster carers, social workers, nurses, counsellors and psychotherapists and those in the helping professions have found the CTMD a valuable and stimulating course and our individual learning plans mean that you can specialise in applying the course to children, young people and adults.
■ How is the CTMC/CTMD delivered and what can I gain from it?
The CTMC/CTMD is a hands-on vocational based course which includes a series of workshops and training sessions specifically designed to develop knowledge and skills which will help you how to understand, communicate with and intervene in the daily situations you meet in your professional or personal life. Once your flexible learning plan has been agreed and you embark on your chosen route, you can expect to:

increase awareness and understanding
develop non-verbal and or symbloic communication
■ What types of workshop can I expect to take?
The NGP programme is constantly evolving, but some of our regular workshops include:
Active Imagination and guided imagery
Stories and Metaphor
Understanding Sand Play
Dreams Workshop
Creative media (puppets, play, music, art, clay etc)
Transactional Analysis TA101
Advanced level
Depth Psychotherapy: The Child Within
Depending on the topic, workshops range from 3 hours to 3 days in length

If you do not want to work towards certification straight away, or perhaps just wish to enhance or enrich your personal or professional development and understanding, you can apply for any of the workshops (please phone us if you are unsure of the level) when they are advertised.
CTM Certificate (CTMC)
54 hours of training (must be attended in full)
Completion of record of training
Self/tutor evaluation
CTM Diploma (CTMD)
90 hours of training
Assessment project and portfolio
6 tutorials/supervision* sessions focusing on the application of the choosen method with the client group
■ How to apply
Introductory level
Simply fill out an application form for the workshop(s) of your choice and return, with payment to the course administrator.
CTM Certificate and CTM Diploma
Please submit an application form enclosing your interview fee, covering letter and C.V. These are available from the course administrator.
■ Costs
Interview fee £75.00
NGP membership fee £60.00
Full day workshops £95.00
Tutorial supervision £360.00
Assessment project and portfolio £170.00* Additional supervision is available if required £55.00 per hour
■ How to pay
You can pay for each workshop as you go, however you are advised to book 6 months in advance to guarantee your place. There is also an option to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit should you wish to secure your place on several workshops.
