Professional Training Course Applications
The application process for our Diploma courses starts in Spring, and interviews carry on throughout the summer term. There’s no set deadline for applying, as long as we have space on a course. As we allocate places to successful candidates as soon after interview as possible, courses do fill up throughout the summer so early application is very much recommended. However, if you are thinking of applying later, do get in touch - we may still have space on a suitable course.
To apply, you will need to complete an application form, which includes a 350 word personal statement. This tells us a bit more about you and helps us understand your motivation for wishing to train as a Counsellor or Psychotherapist. Make sure you indicate which course you’re applying for clearly on the application form and enclose the £90.00 application fee.
This fee covers the whole of the application process, which includes a number of stages:
• Initial screening of application form and personal statement
• Follow up plus screening reference
• Opportunity to speak with members of the Northern Guild Training Team – we are very happy to discuss with you any queries you may have and to help give you the information you need to make decisions about the right route for you
• Group or individual Interview and a chance to meet fellow course applicants
• An individual equal opportunities interview
• Outcome/offer letter
