About
Personal & Professional Development Group for Recently Qualified Therapists & Counsellors.
This is an opportunity for newly qualified practitioners working with adults to meet with colleagues to reflect on professional issues that are influencing their practice and ongoing development as counsellors and psychotherapists. It is also appropriate for those who are in the process of completing advanced training e.g. DiP, MA or MSc.
The sessions will take place at Northern Guild Psychotherapy and Counselling, on two Friday evenings per academic term, and can be recorded as 6 hours CPD.
Areas of interest will be generated by the group. These may include: taking control of your own CPD; great books and articles that you want to discuss with someone but have had no other time/venue to do so, the value of peer networks, developing a knowledge of yourself and your place in a team, current issues linked to your professional bodies, heightening your awareness of issues of equality and diversity in your work, discussing case studies, reflecting on practice, clinical audit.
