Work with children and their parents is often complex, and therapists at the Northern Guild have years of experience in dealing with sensitive and sometimes highly conflicted family situations.
Children and parents often benefit from therapeutic work, as individuals or together as a family. This can be offered on a short or longer term basis, by therapists trained and skilled in working with children, couples or families.
This work may be suggested if there are legal disputes about children, or to resolve differences in the family to avoid the need for proceedings.
Therapists have particular experience in working with children who have been placed in local authority care, or who have been adopted.
