Impact North – Leeds

Therapists in Schools

0.6 WTE (22.5 hrs)

Salary £34,500 FTE pro rata

Term Time Only

Do you long to practice in a way that you were trained to do? Do you wish to have the autonomy to offer short, medium or long term therapy dependent on the needs of that individual? Do you want to work alongside a group of skilled and experienced therapists who are passionate and energised by the work they do?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving third sector organisation, based in Leeds, with a social mission to improve child and family mental health.  Impact North has been established in Leeds for 9 years and offer a range of therapeutic interventions to community settings such as schools, children’s centres and other charitable organisations. Our clinical team is made up of child and adolescent psychotherapists (ACP), art psychotherapists (BAAT), integrative child psychotherapists (BACP and UKCP) and adult counsellors.

The role will be based within the Leeds area, working in a variety of schools, providing a range of therapeutic services, including consultation, assessment, short/long-term individual and dyadic therapy with children and their parents/carers plus opportunities for delivering training and work discussion groups.  This is a fantastic opportunity to become embedded within the heart of a school’s community, enabling sustainable change by working with the whole network around the child. You will be supported through regular clinical supervision, monthly group meetings, opportunities for CPD and by working closely alongside others who are passionate about this applied approach.

We are looking for a therapist with sound experience of multi-agency liaison plus a well-developed capacity for autonomous working, alongside an ability to contribute effectively to team functioning.  An ability to form collaborative working relationships with a wide range of individuals is essential for this role.

A current driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role.
